in vivo investigation of cellular molecular events involved in normal and
pathologic processes.

SMI Achievement Award
Once a year, Society members are asked to vote for an Achievment Award
recipient from a list of candidates that have been nominated by the Council
and Nominating Committee. This award is given to an individual who has made
a fundamental discovery in the field of Molecular Imaging that has changed
the direction of the field, or enabled new in vivo investigations that were
not possible prior to their contribution.
