Troubleshooting Journal Access
If you are a member and have trouble accessing the online journal, then
consider verifying that you have done the following:
- Logged in via the proper login page: http://www.123signup.com/clientp/smi/login.htm.
- Logged in using the correct email address. Your email address is the
key identifier of your database record. Using a different or incorrect
address will prevent successful login.
- Logged in using the correct password. This, too, is essential. If you
don't know what your password is, you can have the system automatically
send a new password to your correct email address. This feature is available
on the login page (http://www.123signup.com/clientp/smi/login.htm).
Of course, you must configure any Anti-Spam software to permit email from
www.123signup.com.
If you are sure you are using the correct email address and password,
and are still unable to login successfully, then you will likely have success
if you do the following:
(to view the screenshots of each of the following configuration steps, please
select the appropriate figure number in red)
- Make sure that 123signup.com is one of the allowed sites in your browser
configuration: e.g., Tools/Pop-up Blocker Settings/Allowed Sites: *.123signup.com
(fig. 1)
- Modify your Tools/Internet Options/Temporary Internet File Settings
to show: "check for newer version" for "every visit to
the site" (fig. 2)
- Clear your cache by selecting "Go Tools/Internet Options/Temporary
Internet Files/Delete Files." (fig.
3)
- If you did steps 1-3 and you still cannot access the online journal,
then it is likely that you have additional pop-up blocking software on
your system. You may be able to override these controls by holding down
the "Control" key when selecting the "Sign in" button
(fig. 4).
Note to Mac users: You must browse the journal in Netscape.
If you have done all of the above, and still you are unable to access
the online journal, then please email cmetzger@molecularimaging.org
for assistance.
