2006 Student Travel Stipends
Student Travel Stipends
The Society for Molecular Imaging wishes to provide support
for the attendance of students, postdoctoral and clinical trainees to present
abstracts at the Fifth Annual Meeting. Travel stipend awards in the amount of
$500 will be awarded to qualifying trainees. Selection of Student Travel Stipend
recipients will be based upon the abstract grade and ranking as well as travel
award application. Eligibility requirements:
- The trainee must be first author of an accepted abstract
(poster or proffered talk).
- The trainee must apply before the May 16, 2006 abstract
deadline through the online abstract form.
- A curriculum vitae of the applicant and letter from
a supervisor, sponsor or training program director confirming the applicant's
eligibility for a student stipend must be sent electronically to stipend@molecularimaging.org
no later than May 30, 2006, with a PDF file of the electronically submitted
abstract.
- No more than two trainees may be awarded from the
same research group.
- The Student Travel Stipends are separate from the
Young Investigator Award Competition, and it is
acceptable for qualifying trainees to request a Student Travel Stipend as
well as apply for the Young Investigator Award. However the Student Travel
Stipend will be forfeited in the event that the applicant wins one of the
YI Awards at the meeting
